Dr Jart + BB

I have a confession. I'm a Sephora addict. I absolutely love a lot of their products and I love to try new products. I got Dr Jart + BB as a sample with one of my purchases. (For those not in the know, Sephora customers get 3 free samples with each purchase). Long story short, I used the sample and fell in love with the product.  It is a full coverage foundation which goes on smoothly i.e.: No issues with patchiness even if you spread it on without a sponge! Plus it moisturizes and is a 45 spf sunscreen.

Dr. Jart --- you stole my heart. ;)

Shih Tzus - but mostly Wilson

For anyone who knows me, my love of  Shih Tzu's is a "give me." My precious puppy dog, Wilson Edward Haile III, also known as: sweet pea, wil-nil, the willow-my-nelson, Wilston, the muffin man, the mama mini muffin, my chocolate chip muffin, my banana nut muffin, and the list continues.

I mean, who could not love that  face. His bright pink tongue, black nose, dark eyes, and soft hair. Plus, Wilson, like the rest of his breed, loves children. He does a great job playing with my beautiful nieces and nephew. Also, he's super duper snugly and empathic. If I'm sad, he's there to cuddle me. I'm one lucky lady to have this beautiful dog!

Walking Dead

I watch the first episode of this show months ago. To say the least, I wasn't into it. My friend encouraged me to keep watching with the promise that I would one day love it. She was right. I do love it. It's not a show you can watch occasionally. It's not a show you can watch out of order like Seinfeld, Friends, Grey's Anatomy, or Sex and the City. (hint: these are my other favorite television shows). It has to be watched in order. The show reminds me of Lost. It has weird twists and turns. Main characters may or may not die at the drop of the hat, and you are positive the writers a playing a mind game with you, but you just can't give up.

Plus, you learn a new self-defense technique - the zombie bite.

Gummy Vitamins - For Adults

I don't know who came up with this idea, but it is ingenious. Gummy vitamins for adults. Sound silly? It's not. I gurantee you'll remember to take your vitamin. I keep mine in my guest bathroom where my number one man, Wilson (the shih tzu) stays while I'm at work. Each morning when I get him comfy in his room before heading to work I see these babies on the countertop and pop the two I'm supposed to take in my mouth.

I kid you not, I have never been able to take vitamins. I have had the same bottle of Women's One-A-Day vitamins for well over four years and it's only a third of the way empty. However I have not missed a day, a single day, of taking my gummy vitamins. Maybe I'm a child because I won't take "big kid vitamins," but, if I am, I'm loving every minute!

SmartWater

I have to admit I first bought SmartWater because of this advertisement. I mean, who doesn't want to be Jennifer Aniston?

Apparently their advertising strategy works. After all, I purchased the product. However, I continue to buy it because of the taste and the cute little fish that lives inside the bottle. I know it sounds crazy one brand of water tastes different than another? I never bought into the hype; I had no preference. Aquafina or Dasani? Evian or Perrier? They were all the same. Bottled water was bottled water.

But, after having tried SmartWater, I have to admit my opinion has changed. The taste and texture of SmartWater is unique. It is certainly the only water I can drink 50 ozs of in just a few hours without even realizing I have.

Rotary Phones

If you know me, it would be no surprise that I'm a huge fan of vintage items. Not the least of which are rotary phones. Today, I'm celebrating my love of rotary phones because my new one came in the mail from Lithuania. I bought it from Etsy.com a couple weeks ago. Tonight, I welcomed the new phone into my home.

Isn't she gorgeous? The question may be, "why love rotary phones?" It's true, they are more time consuming to dial. Yes, you can't tell who's calling when the phone rings. However, there are so many more wonderful features.

One, they are beautiful. Who could honestly say that the phone above is not akin to a work of art? The strong geometric shape mixed with the soft colors are exquisite. Two, the sound of the phone. When this phone rings, it sounds like a phone. Though many may not appreciate the "bring, bring" of the phone, I love it. I'm so sick of hearing chirps, bells, and rap music coming out of people's phones. To have something be what it is, well, the honesty of it makes me love it.

Yay for my new phone. Plus, I laughed like a little girl when I called it from my cell phone and heard it ring. An item you purchase that makes you that giddy, to me, is worth it!

Dark Brown Hair with Red Undertones aka the Color

I have a new hair color and I LOVE it. The color is dark brown hair with red undertones hence forth know as 'the Color.' Who knows how long the Color will be around to stay, but isn't that always how the things we love in life go. They come they go. So we appreciate them while we can. Today I'm greatful for this demi permanent color and a patient and talented hair stylist.

My hair was a medium blonde yesterday. The product of years of skilled highlighting. I still liked the blonde, but it was time for a change. Shania, my wonderful stylist filled the blonde. This left me with orange highlights. She then colored it with an auburn. After washing the auburn out we  colored it again with a natural dark brown. The final product was:

My Moisturizer

Ole Henriksen's "Truth Serum: Collagen Booster"  is a product I absolutely love. (This is probably why it gets first review on my new blog about things I love.)

Every night after I wash the day off my face, I apply one sizable pump of "Truth" to my face. The product goes on like a mixture between a lotion and a gel. and quickly dries into the skin. After the serum has dried your skin, it feels firmer and has a great glow. One of my favorite things about it is the light citrus, tea smell -- very soothing.

I say Yay for Ole.

I used to have a blog about my life in South Carolina, but for a number of reasons that didn't work out. However, when I think back there are so many things I loved about that time of my life.  Since life is continually changing, I thought I'd celebrate change. Therefore, I cataloging things I love! I'm anticipating it will usually be products but who knows.
